The current exhibition:

19 September to 12 November: Davida MacDonald

Drawing and painting are Davida’s earliest memories which, through supportive parents, led to an art degree.  A career in teaching art gave her opportunities to develop and give voice to her pleasures, passions and concerns in visual and tactile form.

Free Open Evening on Tuesday 19 September 7-10pm, with talk by the artist at 7.30pm

Davida will enlighten her audience on how the textile-linked art in the current exhibition is her response to key global issues like climate change and international politics. Although the ability of individuals to influence change seems impossible, producing meaningful art is a cleansing of emotion. By contrast, her paintings delight in the pleasure of her surroundings.

Upcoming Exhibitions: 13 November 2017 to 12 January 2018

Exhibiting at Westacre Theatre…

The exhibition space at Westacre Theatre has been extended as part of our ongoing development work. The new spaces include our existing foyer area, new bar, new link and separate new gallery area.  We usually have between two and three different artists exhibiting with us each season. We always aim to give preference to local artists but are happy to exhibit work from further afield.

The Gallery is open at all performance times.

Visitors are very welcome on other weekdays too, but please always check before you intend to visit by calling the Theatre on 01760 755 007 to make certain there will be someone available to open up the spaces.

If you would be interested in having an exhibition here with us then please do get in touch with the Theatre office on 01760 755 007
