11 June to 5 August
‘Peerking’ by Sue Shields and Janet Bates

‘Peerking’ is an old verb meaning looking for something and nosing around.  You are welcome to come and nose around the Theatre’s new art exhibition in the Foyer Gallery.  Thoughtfully devised and created by mixed media artists Janet Bates and Sue Shields, it’s a work-in-progress exploring the lost affinities of the county’s dialect, social history, local stories, wildlife and landscape – especially around the Nar Valley.  Always open at performance times, you can also call in during weekdays by prior appointment; please call 01760 755007.

Exhibiting at Westacre Theatre…

The exhibition space at Westacre Theatre has been extended as part of our ongoing development work. The new spaces include our existing foyer area, new bar, new link and separate new gallery area.  We usually have between two and three different artists exhibiting with us each season. We always aim to give preference to local artists but are happy to exhibit work from further afield.

The Gallery is open at all performance times.

Visitors are very welcome on other weekdays too, but please always check before you intend to visit by calling the Theatre on 01760 755 007 to make certain there will be someone available to open up the spaces.

If you would be interested in having an exhibition here with us then please do get in touch with the Theatre office on 01760 755 007
