Although most legal restrictions have been lifted across England and the UK, there is still a risk of catching and spreading COVID, even if you are vaccinated.
It is important to us that you feel safe whilst you are in the theatre whilst at the same time making sure that you feel that life might just be returning to some sort of normality.

What are the plans for social distancing in the theatre?
The legal restrictions on social distancing and numbers of people we can have in the theatre have been removed. Our maximum seating capacity in the studio will therefore be available for you to book your choice of seats online.
We will be maximising the space available within the building as well as outside so there is opportunity to find some space around you whilst waiting to go into the studio and during the interval. We will also be ensuring adequate ventilation whilst you are inside the studio so warm clothing is advised.

Will I need a face covering?
The legal restriction on the wearing of face masks has been removed. On the other hand, the advice is that you should continue to wear a face mask in crowded places! This conflict in the advice can create difficulties when trying to establish principles for how we function as a Theatre.
We have decided that whilst moving around in the building, we would ask that you continue to wear face masks.

Can I order interval drinks at the bar?
Yes. We are reinstating pre-ordered interval drinks which will hopefully reduce any long queues forming at the bar during the interval.

What happens if I feel ill?
Please do not attend the Theatre if you are in any doubt as to whether you have a cold, flu or COVID.

What else is Westacre Theatre doing?
We will continue to keep you safe, by ensuring robust cleaning of the venue before every event and regular disinfecting.
We will continue to have hand sanitisers throughout the building and would encourage use of these as you enter and exit the theatre.
